This Monday, Dec 17th B4SH staged our launch event to showcase a 1Gig connection to our wonderful investors, volunteers, champions and of course customers.
With thanks to one of our early customers Albury Vineyard for kindly hosting the event in their Albury base. A great location is you need to pick up a last-minute Christmas Gift.
With 1GIg we demonstrate our hyperfast connection on a 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) TV using some BBC iPlayer content. The picture quality was simply amazing.
For more on BBC and Ultra HD see iPlayer help page. This is a rapidly changing space as th BBC expand their Ultra HD coverage. So far this has included the entire series of Blue Planet II, the FIFA World Cup 2018 and this year’s Wimbledon Championships. To experience UHD you’ll need an internet connection of 24MBit/s for the full 3840 pixel Ultra HD experience.
We also demonstrated a number of voice telephone services running over the B4SH network. When you retire your BT land line and switch to B4SH Fibre you can port your existing phone number to a VOIP (Voice Over The Internet) service provider. While B4SH does not provide a Voice Service we can assist with advice and guidance in porting and the service options for home or business.
